CHRISTMAS CANDLELIGHT TOUR - A GRAND ILLUMINATION 5 P.M. TO 9 P.M.
Step back in time for an unforgettable evening in colonial New Bern in 1770. Gov. and Mrs. Tryon are hosting a 'Grand entertainment and Ball' to celebrate the completion of the palace and the birthday of King George III.
The palace is illuminated with seasonal lights and filled with elegant dancers and fascinating characters. New Bern's colonial townspeople have also turned out to enjoy the festivities. Circus performers, Signora Bella and Otto the Sword Swallower, will be performing throughout the evening. The grand finale of the evening is a spectacular fireworks show on the south lawn. Come celebrate the holidays with us.
Fee charged: $15-adults, $6-students. Tickets will be sold for specific tour time slots from 5-9 p.m. .Special performances by: Fife and Drum Corps 5 p.m. and 7 p.m; Jonkonnu 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

This events was named A Top 20 Holiday Event in the Southeastern United States by the Southeast Tourism Society, 2005, 2006, 2007.
